Olivia Stevens is a European-born singer/actress who shares her time between New York City and Stockholm.

She trained at Bard College in New York, The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, and in master classes with The Royal Shakespeare Company. Miss Stevens began her musical work in Stockholm, Sweden, in the chorus at The Royal Swedish Opera in operas like; “The Mastersingers of Nurnberg”, “Joan of Arc” and “Don Giovanni”

Miss Steven’s musical theatre debut landed her smack in the middle of The National Touring Theatre’s highly acclaimed production of “West Side Story” where she played Anita. This hit show, which was sold-out for all of its year long run, established her as the new star in the business and the audience and press loved her. (See Press.) Since then, this stunning performer has never looked back. Her debut was quickly followed by the Studio Theatre’s sell-out success “CABARET”, where Olivia starred as Sally Bowles and was touted as ”magnificent”. (See Starring Olivia for reviews) During this one and a half-year long run, Miss Stevens also starred as Florence in “CHESS”, created by the team behind the hit-musical Mamma Mia. She continued to star in plays and musicals in London, Stockholm, Oslo and Warsaw.

Previously in New York at Fisher Center she had starring roles in “Children of The Sun” and the Oscar Wilde play “The Importance of Being Earnest”. At The Mac’Owen Theatre in London Olivia played her first Shakespeare role as Cleopatra, in “Anthony and Cleopatra” and Nastya in the Gorky play “The Lower Depths”.

Miss Stevens landed her first television role in Sweden’s most popular daytime Drama “Separate Worlds” as the nasty boss from hell character ‘Margo Wahlberg’. Her TV debut was quickly followed by a co-starring role as Gullan, in the Feature film thriller “Hassel - The Terminator”. After this the director Maj Wechselman offered her a role as the British suffragette Emmeline Pankhurst in the British Feature “Where Violence Ends Love Begins”, which was shot on location in South Africa. Olivia co-starred in the European premiere of the play "East Beyond West West Beyond East" at The Royal Dramatic Theatre’s Elverket, which was invited for a two week run at the theatre Kulturpalatskij in Warsaw.

She then worked with the renowned theatre director Ariane Mnouchkine and her company Théatre de Soleil in Paris, in developing the production “Les Atrides”, which went on an international tour. This inspired her to start creating her own one-woman shows.

Miss Stevens has become a bright and fiery star on the cabaret scene in Europe and critics and entrancing audiences have lauded her one-woman cabaret shows. Olivia wrote, produced, and performed her recent one-woman hit cabaret show "Pleasure and Peril - The Story of Zarah Leander" in 2007, playing to packed houses and receiving rave reviews (see Starring Olivia for reviews). Due to its popularity, “Pleasure and Peril” plays to audiences regularly at venues around Europe as well as in New York City.

Miss Stevens has performed her solo shows on British and Swedish TV and on several Radio shows in New York. She’s acted in short films and has done television commercials and English voiceovers. Olivia has modeled in Stockholm, Marbella, Vienna, and New York.

This European/American cosmopolite has now landed on her feet in New York City. (She got an acting agent her first day here.) She has just completed a tour with her latest one-woman show "Romance - a Celebration of Piaf and Brel”, playing to full houses and standing ovations in Europe and New York City. She co-stars in the US feature “All Screwed Up”, which opened in Tribeca this Spring. Olivia also co-stars in the Swedish feature film “Lies to Love”, which will be presented at the Cannes Festival.
