"Stevens brings the house down!"
Bea Smith, The Independent Press NYC

She was the biggest star in the Third Reich. Her films were box-office successes beyond the German borders and her record sales made her millions. In 1943 she faced a choice that would alter her life forever. This sparkling and riveting show portrays a woman torn between artistry and politics; a woman who was both idolized and hated - and whose songs remain unforgettable to this day.

Pleasure and Peril has played to sold out houses at Carnegie Hall, The Neue Galerie and The Metropolitan Room in New York City. It has also played in major venues in Stockholm and Finland and was one of the highlights at The Avignon Theatre Festival in 2008. The show comes in three languages: English, Swedish and French. The songs are performed in English, Swedish and German.

Olivia recently performed favourites from the show at Carnegie Hall. This is what William Wolf wrote in "New York Calling" "The most daring expedition of the evening was Olivia Stevens's performance of songs made known by Swedish singer Zara Leander, who during the Nazi regime in Germany snuggled up to the Nazi bigwigs, with her songs broadcast to Allied troops. As a woman of Jewish origins, Stevens nevertheless has the nerve to explore and imitate the one-time star, born in 1907, and with her sultry voice, she puts on an impressive show. "

"WUNDERBAR"

"Intelligent, comical, dramatic och super professional."
